Job Title: Azure Data Lead (ONSITE)
Work Location: Schaumburg, IL
We are seeking a highly qualified Lead with 12 to 15 years of experience in Azure Data Lake Store, Azure DevOps, Python, Databricks SQL, Databricks Workflows, and PySpark. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in Property & Casualty Insurance. This hybrid role requires a deep understanding of technical and domain skills to drive impactful solutions.
Responsibilities
Lead the design and implementation of scalable data solutions using Azure Data Lake Store ensuring efficient performance and security. Be responsible for the development and deployment of data pipelines and workflows using Databricks Workflows and PySpark. Provide technical expertise in Python and Databricks SQL to develop and optimize data processing scripts. Collaborate with multi-functional teams to capture requirements and translate them into technical specifications. Ensure seamless integration of data solutions with existing systems and applications. Monitor and solve data workflows to ensure data quality and reliability. Implement standard processes for data governance and compliance within the Property & Casualty Insurance domain. Drive continuous improvement initiatives to improve data processing efficiency and effectiveness. Mentor and guide junior team members encouraging a culture of knowledge sharing and teamwork. Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies to drive innovation in data solutions. Conduct regular code reviews to ensure consistency to coding standards and best practices. Provide technical support and guidance to stakeholders ensuring successful project delivery. Collaborate with DevOps teams to automate deployment processes and improve operational efficiency. Qualifications
Possess a strong background in Azure Data Lake Store, Azure DevOps, Python, Databricks SQL, Databricks Workflows, and PySpark. Demonstrate extensive experience in the Property & Casualty Insurance domain. Exhibit excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex data issues. Showcase strong communication and teamwork skills to work optimally with cross-functional teams. Hold a relevant certification in Azure or related technologies. Display a proactive approach to learning and staying updated with industry trends. Demonstrable ability to mentor and guide junior team members. Solid understanding of data governance and compliance requirements. Experience in implementing standard processes for data processing and management. Ability to translate business requirements into technical specifications. Excellent organizational and time management skills. Strong analytical and critical thinking abilities. Commitment to delivering high-quality solutions that drive business value. Certifications Required
Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect, Databricks Certified Associate Developer for Apache Spark Salary and Other Compensation
Applications will be accepted until 1/6/2025. The annual salary for this position is between $88,200 – $139,500 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate. This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans. Benefits
