Job Overview:

The Enterprise Data & Analytics organization is a team of highly motivated and skilled professionals who are driving business value through data to create a sustainable competitive advantage for our company. Data Governance is a discipline that requires significant leadership and subject matter expertise in data governance capabilities and solutions, best practices and standards, innovation, and forward thinking.

As the VP of Data Governance, you will partner closely with the Business, Technology and Data Stewards to influence and drive our Data Governance Framework implementation along with enterprise cultural shift to being data driven. Success in this role requires significant cross company collaboration and a strong understanding of our business challenges, governance, processes, data structures and data architecture. Our team focuses on representing data as a strategic business asset to help serve our clients. You'll focus on using data and information to drive change and improvements in data related operations to help enable the business, as well as, providing risk related insights.

Responsibilities:

Ensures data integrity by implementing quality assurance practices, gathering and entering missing data, and resolving anomalies. Develops procedures and processes to certify data quality for business purposes Leads strategies and policies to ensure data consistency, accuracy, timeliness, validity and completeness Accountable for adoption of defined data policies, standards and best practices Collaborate with partners to influence development and implementation of innovative governance practices, roles, responsibilities Leads the creation, maintenance and governance of taxonomies and ensures its applicability to content and/or data Prepare presentation materials, coordinate, facilitate, and perform follow-up activities in support of Data Governance Committee meetings Partnering on reviewing and administrating enterprise-wide master data management and metadata management efforts (data definitions, processes, tools, strategy, etc.) Ensure that key data governance artifacts (documentation, definitions, processes, policies, etc.) are created, controlled, managed, and maintained over time Foster data-driven culture and the creation of related competencies and data literacy across the organization Work with key partners in Digital, Privacy, Security, Technology & Analytics functions to execute data access priorities and ensure proper controls are established Facilitates connections among data stewards within your organization and across the enterprise Oversees implementation of metadata repositories Evaluates large datasets for quality and accuracy ensuring adherence to data quality standards. Determines root cause for data quality errors and makes recommendations for long-term solutions. Ensures data and information are handled in accordance with established laws, regulations and policies Actively promotes a knowledge sharing culture and value proposition while generating awareness of initiatives throughout the organization Articulates guiding principles and frameworks that align with the strategic vision Able to promote, maintain, and enhance partnerships across the organization to achieve objectives and influence stakeholders What are we looking for?

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Applied Sciences (Math, Statistics, Physics, Engineering, Computer Science, etc.) Business or other; advanced degree preferred 10+ years of data governance or management experience 4+ year managing high performing teams required Experience in developing data governance strategy, policies, and procedures, as well as successfully executing programs that meet or exceed business expectations Knowledgeable in Data Quality/Governance tools (e.g. Collibra, Informatica, ASG, data.world, Manta, etc.) Core Competencies:

Demonstrates data analysis skills and the ability to work independently Ability to create streamlined, documented processes and support guides for stakeholder to operate efficiently Demonstrates thorough understanding of overall data models, data relationships, mapping lineage and business rules Ability to communicate thoughts/designs/ideas in an unambiguous manner and adjusts communication based on audience Exhibits active and effective communication skills with team members - including active listening and effective written and verbal communication skills Able to accurately estimate the tasks and resources needed to complete assigned project work

Pay Range: $127,400.00 - $212,300.00

Actual base salary varies based on factors, including but not limited to, relevant skill, prior experience, education, base salary of internal peers, demonstrated performance, and geographic location.
