Position Overview:

The Network Architect will be responsible for designing, configuring, and maintaining the network architecture for the Office of Mental Health (OMH), supporting initiatives like the EHR (Electronic Health Record) and Cyber Remediation projects. The selected candidate will mentor Network Engineers, assist with troubleshooting, and help secure applications and systems within the network infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities: • Design and maintain OMH's network architecture for EHR and other initiatives. • Mentor Network Engineers, providing guidance on troubleshooting and network configurations. • Diagnose and resolve production issues reported through ITSM, including participating in bridge calls when necessary.

Mandatory Qualifications: • Expert-level experience in designing and implementing computer and information networks (LAN/WAN). • 84+ months' experience in configuring and troubleshooting LAN networking equipment in complex environments with at least 1,000 endpoints, including switches, routers, firewalls, and VPN devices. • In-depth knowledge of DMVPN, IPSec, OSPF/BGP, Cisco hardware, and Cisco IOS.

Requested Qualifications: • 84+ months configuring and troubleshooting LAN Networking equipment in a complex environment of at least 1,000 remote endpoints. This includes switches, routers, firewalls, VPN devices, and troubleshooting using protocol analysis tools like Wireshark. • 84+ months of analytical and technical knowledge of DMVPN, IPSec, OSPF/BGP. • 84+ months supporting and troubleshooting 4G/5G modem technologies. Multi-vendor experience is preferred. • 84+ months experience with Cisco hardware and Cisco IOS software in a complex TCP/IP environment, including routing, port forwarding/NAT, and VPN management. • 60+ months experience supporting and configuring wireless network equipment from vendors such as Cisco, Ubiquiti, and Aruba. • 60+ months experience working with business users to:

o Understand business requirements and implement technical solutions.

o Work as a member of a team that includes both technical and business users.

o Manage changing priorities.

o Communicate between business users and technical resources. • 48+ months experience configuring and managing network equipment using centralized management consoles (e.g., Cisco IoT Dashboard, Cisco Meraki), including firmware updates and device configuration standardization.
