Melt Extrusion Operator 3rd Shift Job at Textiles Coated Inc in Manchester

Description:

Responsible for assisting with the production of wide range of Melt Extrusion products. Activities include, but are not limited to:

· Sets up and runs production equipment according to job traveler and standard operating conditions

· Enters data into a computer

· Gauges and calibrates process equipment

· Documents the overall production process including potential defects

· Frequently and safely lifts up to 50 pounds

· Follows general housekeeping rules

· Follows all safety guidelines and company procedures

· Extrudes fine resin powder that has been mixed by the mixing department into a pre-determined mil using the extruder machine

· Transfers the extruded material using a carriage to the 50-mil calendar.

· Using the micrometer to gauge, mil the material down to 50-mils.

· Place material on carts and distribute to pre-determined calendars in tape room.

· Load the fine powder resin into the hot room for the next day’s run.

3rd Shift Sunday-Thursday 11:00PM-7:30AM

Requirements:

· Familiar with an ERP/Shop Floor Entry system

· Basic math

· Knowledge of quality assurance

· Familiar with 5S
