A leading consumer technology company (hardware, software) is seeking a registered Patent Attorney. The role in particular will include: Assist the Patent Development group in conjunction with the business to identify patentable inventions in semiconductor and computer architecture technologies Manage outside counsel with the drafting and prosecution of patent applications both domestic and internationally Scope of Work Title: Patent Counsel (Secondment) Experience: 7+ Years Location: Remote or Hybrid (Cupertino, CA) On site 3 days per week preferred, but highly qualified remote only candidates will be considered Hours: 40 Hours / Week Benefits: Health, Dental, Vision, 401k Duration: 6 months Start Date: No later than November 1, 2024 Pay Rate: $90-$110 / hr Responsibilities: Collaborate with the business to identify patentable inventions in semiconductor and computer architecture technologies. Manage outside counsel on drafting and prosecuting patent applications both domestically and internationally. Act as a secondee to the Patent Development group at the company, ensuring seamless integration and communication with the internal team. Provide strategic advice on patent portfolio development and management. Conduct patentability and freedom-to-operate analyses. Assist in patent litigation support as needed. Qualifications: Registered patent attorney or patent agent with a strong background in semiconductor (CS/EE) technologies, silicon; experience with graphics processing helpful, though not required Minimum of 7 years of experience in patent law, with a focus on semiconductor and related technologies. Experience managing outside counsel and coordinating patent prosecution efforts. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Admitted to practice before the USPTO. Required Experience: Registration as a Patent Attorney Semiconductor (CS/EE) background
