within our Defense Enclave Services (DES) team. In this pivotal role, you will be instrumental in supporting a vital digital modernization initiative for the Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) and the Department of Defense (DoD) Fourth Estate Agencies. You will leverage your technical expertise to deploy and manage Windows and Linux servers within an Azure environment, ensuring the integrity and performance of our cloud infrastructure while providing day-to-day support. This position demands a proactive individual skilled in managing the complete lifecycle of Linux and Windows platforms as code. You will be responsible for implementing automation solutions for server building and patching using Microsoft Intune, Red Hat Satellite, and Ansible Automation Platform. Collaboration is key as you will interface with product owners across multiple sprint teams and work alongside engineers to troubleshoot complex problems affecting various systems and networks. Your analytical skills will be crucial in identifying recurring issues and spearheading solutions that prevent reoccurrence, enhancing existing infrastructure for optimal performance. Clearance Requirement:

Candidates must possess an active DoD Secret clearance or higher, and U.S. Citizenship is required. Primary Responsibilities Deliver engineering support for Windows and Linux server environments in Azure, adhering to best practices. Build, configure, patch, and maintain servers using Infrastructure as Code (IaC), Ansible, or other automation tools. Manage application packaging, deployments, and version control using tools like Jira, GitLab, and Ansible Automation Platform. Provide advanced technical consultation for Tier 3/Tier 4 support, analyzing and resolving complex issues while meeting user requirements. Research and deploy security updates and vulnerability remediation measures. Support the implementation and maintenance of sophisticated IT systems. Automate workflows through scripting, testing, and process improvements. Compile technical reports outlining findings and recommendations for continuous improvement initiatives. Identify opportunities for enhancements to user experiences and operational efficiencies. Enforce security best practices aligning with network and data security standards. Basic Qualifications Bachelor's degree and 8-12 years of relevant experience, or a Master's degree with 6-10 years of relevant experience. Active DoD Secret clearance or higher is mandatory. Demonstrated experience in building, configuring, and maintaining Windows and Linux servers. Familiarity with Azure Cloud services. Basic understanding of networking principles and protocols, including TCP/IP, routing, and VPNs. Experience in analyzing system logs and events for issue resolution. Competence with Entra ID and/or Microsoft Active Directory. Knowledge of Federal security requirements such as NIST, FedRAMP, and FISMA. Proficient in collaboration with distributed teams, backed by strong communication skills. Familiarity with the Atlassian suite, particularly Jira and Confluence. Ability to obtain DoD 8570 IAT Level II Certification (e.g., Security+ or CISSP). Preferred Qualifications Current IAT Level II Certification or higher, such as Security+ or CISSP. Experience in deploying Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) servers using IaC. Experience in Azure Virtual Desktop deployment and scaling through automation. Proven track record in maintaining multiservice infrastructures with web and data tiers. Expertise in developing and deploying IaC with CI/CD tools and leveraging automation platforms like Ansible.
