About The Role Under the guidance of the Senior Technical Designer, the Associate Technical Designer is responsible to support the execution of the design aesthetic and fit direction for the given categories within the Bottoms areas through the established Lane Bryant process and standards.
The impact you can have Prepare technical specification packages with garment construction details for our manufacturing partners
Assist in all fit sessions necessary to achieve final approvals
Prepare and measure garments prior to fitting
Take detailed notes in fit sessions, complete technical reports post fitting
Provide vendors with additional corrective action recommendations illustrated by photos, diagrams, and email communication
Sketch out and ascertaining pattern corrections
Simultaneously organize and track product movement across multiple seasons
Act as the liaison for communication between merchants, product development and design.
Provide technical recommendations and resolutions for fit and construction issues
Track fit samples
Provide input to the sourcing and design teams regarding vendor's capabilities of meeting technical design standards
Adhere to the department standards and best practices for product fit and process compliance
You'll bring to the role
A degree in Apparel Design, Technical Design or Fashion Design
3 to 5 years' experience in technical design, production, design, and/or product development
Working knowledge of pattern making, garment construction, basic grading, and vendor/factory communication
Working knowledge of computer programs, such as Microsoft Office Programs, Flex PLM, Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop
Detail oriented/ organizational skills
Strong communication skills in both verbal and written form

The target salary range for this role is: $72,000 - $78,000 Any job offer will consider factors such your qualifications, relevant experience, and skills. Eligibility of certain benefits and associate programs are subject to employment type and role.
This position works in a hybrid model, with 3-4 days per week worked in our NYC office.
