Responsibilities Garnet Health Doctors is a New York State, not-for-profit Corporation headquartered in Middletown, New York, approximately 60 miles north of New York City. It is currently the active parent company for two-member hospitals – Garnet Health Medical Center and Garnet Health Medical Center- Catskills. Garnet Health is dedicated to developing specialty services, medical programs, and needed health care services to nearly 450,000 residents in Orange, Sullivan and Ulster Counties. Our team includes more than 3,300 employed professionals and over 850 medical staff members, making Garnet Health one of the largest healthcare providers in the tri-county area. Position Description

Leads and works collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team.

Has oversight of Psychiatric inpatient care and the access center.

30-bed Garnet Health Medical Center/ Garnet Health Medical Center- Catskills 18 beds

Caseload - 10- 15

The average length of stay - 10 days

Psychiatrist be responsible for histories and physicals, but infrequent as patients are normally admitted from the ED & the H&P is already done

Will on-call coverage with potential weekday differential

NYS Medical License

BC/BE in Psychiatry

Garnet Health System provides a compensation range to comply with the New York State law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The range for the role is $283,114 through $336,551 annually. The range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits. When determining a team member’s compensation and/or rate, several factors may be considered as applicable (e.g., location, specialty, service line, years of relevant experience, education, credentials, negotiated contracts, budget and internal equity).

Qualifications Minimum Education:

M.D. or D.O. degree from an accredited school of medicine or osteopathy

Residency trained in USA

Residency in Psychiatry

Minimum Experience:

Graduating Residents are welcome to apply.

Certification/Registration Requirement:

License - Active NY State Medical License

Board Eligibility/ Board Certification in Psychiatry within 5 years of residency completion

DEA - NY State required

Infection Control - NY State

Certified BLS certification required ACLS certification preferred

ECFMG required if applicable
