Job Scope
The Systems Engineering Analyst (SEA) supports industrial processes by focusing on SAP standards and acting as the subject matter expert (SME) for SAP and Industrial Engineering. This role leverages coding skills (e.g., Python, C++, SQL, JavaScript) to optimize and enhance processes, contributing to the achievement of operational objectives. Responsibilities include system integration, validation, and driving continuous improvement by eliminating waste and implementing new methods, particularly in automation and networking.
While machining experience is not required, familiarity with discrete manufacturing is essential. The ideal candidate is passionate about industrial engineering, thrives in collaborative environments, and possesses strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
A manufacturing background is required.
Duties/Responsibilities
Develop and maintain SAP standards and serve as the SME for SAP. Lead initiatives to validate industrial automation and networking solutions. Develop, design, and implement automation processes, focusing on software integration between ERP and PLM. Create new production Routings, In Process Inspection (IPI), and Bills of Material (BOMs). Support corrective/preventative action activities (CAR/SCAR). Use statistical methods to verify process capability and control efficacy. Analyze operational metrics to identify trends and areas needing attention. Develop and execute Process Validation protocols and reports. Improve existing processes. Communicate effectively with cross-functional teams and vendors. Qualifications
Minimum 2+ years in manufacturing/industrial engineering or related field Proficient in one or more of the following: Python, C++, SQL, and JavaScript. Skilled in data-driven problem solving and root cause analysis. ERP system experience (SAP preferred). PLM system experience (Windchill preferred). Effective communication skills in English. Strong team player. Basic knowledge of CNC machining and discrete manufacturing processes. Experience with Business Intelligence software (preferred). Previous medical device experience (preferred). Basic understanding of Process Validation (IQ, OQ, PQ). Familiar with statistical tools (e.g., control charts, trending) and software like Minitab or JMP. Experience in regulated manufacturing industries. Knowledge of FDA and ISO 13485 regulations. Understanding of Risk Management and tools like FMEA.
