Position Summary: With moderate supervision, the Payments Support Specialist II processes various transactions involving electronic debits and credits to members' accounts. Facilitates the in-coming and out-going wire transfer activity, processes the on-us in-clearing check files, processes the ACH files, and prepares the daily settlements in accordance with those processes. Provides administrative and operational support for various functions within Deposit Support Services such as stop payment, affidavits, ACH disputes, check encoding errors or other member-initiated transactions. Handles requests in accordance with established systems, procedures and department guidelines. Responses to support tickets, emails, and phone calls while ensuring timely follow-up. Maintains accurate transaction records and balances daily as well as meeting the established goals. Relies on experience and demonstrates appropriate judgment in daily processes. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Processes transactions involving electronic debits and credits. Performs review of electronic and/or check transactions. Review and decision Reg E disputes for EFT. Facilitates in-coming and out-going wire transfer activity. Processes on-us in-clearing check files and ACH files. Performs daily settlement of activities. Write and update department procedures. Participate in all the required training. Provides administrative and operational support for various functions within the credit union. Handle until complete resolution support tickets, emails, and phone calls. Supports other duties as needed or required.

Qualifications: High School diploma required; Associates preferred; can substitute 3-5 years' experience for education

1 year ACH experience required. Minimum of 3 years prior ACH experience preferred. AAP Certification Preferred Proficient in computer applications such as Microsoft office suite and core system functions. Knowledge of NACHA operating guidelines.

COMPENSATION Salary Range per hour, depending on experience and qualifications $18.27 - $26.54

PHYSICAL DEMANDS While performing the duties of this position, the successful candidate is regularly required to sit; use hands and fingers to handle objects, tools, keyboards or controls; talk and hear. The employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, reach with hands and arms and stoop or kneel. Must regularly lift and/or move files and equipment up to 15 pounds and occasionally lift/move up to 25-pound objects.
