Application Systems Analyst II

Responsible for implementing and supporting the assigned information technology applications. Ensures the work is accomplished in a team environment and requires excellent problem solving and communication skills with a high level of professionalism. Makes recommendations for solutions or improvements to business processes that can be accomplished through new technology or alternative uses of existing technology.

Principal Accountabilities:

Demonstrates in-depth analysis of workflows, system details and technical issues associated with the applications supported.

Analyzes new functionality and recommends how it should be used to prioritize and implement requested changes to the system.

Troubleshoots problems and questions from end users and provides support of daily ad-hoc requests.

Interfaces with key IT, clinical, business and operations staff to assist in the development of efficient workflows.

Participates in testing system enhancements and performs rigorous testing to deliver high-quality end-user solutions.

Architects and delivers solution innovation to improve services and lower costs.

Solves complex problems and develops solutions using judgment and initiative.

Engages expert resources when needed and escalates appropriately.

Works on an on-call basis for system upgrades, go lives and to meet ad hoc departmental needs.

Performs other related duties as assigned.

Required:

Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Public Health, Mathematics, Healthcare Informatics or Computer Science or related field.

3 year's work experience in information technology /applicable area of healthcare or relevant area.

Experience with application build and configuration.

Experience with organizational strategies, business operations, and end-user requirements to develop system design and training projects.

Preferred:

Application specific certification if applicable.
