Job Description
An insurance company in Portland, Oregon is looking for a BI Manager to join the team and oversee a staff of 9 PowerBI Engineers within the Enterprise Data Governance team. This team is scaling to encompass the whole enterprise and be the direct line to the Employee Benefits strategy solutions. Must come from a management level role for the last 2-3 years and have 5 years prior as a hands on Data Analyst / PowerBI Engineer so that they can provide insight and best practices to the team. The company works PST time zone and will need some flexibility to manage two nearshore teams as well. Travel is expected 1-4 times a year to Portland, Oregon.

Skills and Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in a related field
2-3 years of management experience in the data governance space
5+ years previous experience with business intelligence and data management tools and technologies
Background working in the financial / banking / insurance industries
Strong technical understanding of PowerBI, SQL, Azure, and/or Databricks
Strong leadership mentality and stakeholder management, ability to drive change - Experience managing offshore / nearshore teams
Master's Degree in a related field
Sits in PST hours, not required null
