Job Description
Support in communicating, in a systematic and consistent way, with multiple stakeholders about cross-cutting issues and engaging FEMA Leadership, Public Affairs and Congressional Affairs, as needed and as requested. Support tasks in this area include the following: Create and distribute internal communications on upcoming CBRN policy issues and initiatives to educate FEMA senior leadership. Provide support in periodic events and informal meetings. Provide support in interagency roundtable events and informal staff meetings on key OET issues. Provide support in nongovernmental and academia roundtables, events, and meetings. Develop products such as brochures, kiosks, and visuals to help showcase the Office mission. Graphics & Messaging: Supports the Office on social and official messaging, graphics development and video projects as needed to further the CBRN Office objectives as related to the FEMA/CBRN mission. Support the development and delivery of articles to be published in emergency publications. Provide training and advisement to FEMA employees on regulations, threat analysis documents, and interactions with various emerging threat stakeholders Support the review of business systems and tools designed to support FEMA OET; Travel on official business per the government’s request as required; Research, analyze, and develop materials for speeches and testimony to be given by FEMA senior leadership. Draft periodic reports covering relevant events that can be shared broadly across FEMA. Qualifications
3+ years of experience in CBRN, emerging threats, or policy analysis Bachelors Degree in related field Excellent verbal and written communications skills Proficiency with all MS Office product and Adobe Acrobat Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within teams Additional Information
