Position Summary: As a Creative Director at M3 Group, you will lead a team of creatives and establish a clear, creative vision for all company-branded materials. You will serve as a sounding board, provide direction, and help execute creative agendas for pods at M3 Group. The creative director leads a team composed of graphic designers and other creative professionals through every aspect of collaboration from ideation to execution. They supervise and guide copywriters, artists, and designers to create work such as websites, advertisements, videos, or email campaigns. The position reports to the VP of Marketing Strategy for major decisions and approvals, but most work is done independently, managing the day-to-day details of projects. Work Arrangement:
This position is able to work in a hybrid arrangement, with an expectation to work onsite on Tuesdays and one other day each week at the Lansing office. Schedule:

Shoulder the responsibility for the quality and completion of all work projects assigned to members of the creative team. Participate in and provide regular opportunities for professional development and growth to the team. Report progress of projects at major stages of conception, creation, and execution. Ensure designs and content reflect consistently and positively the brand image and client company ideals and needs. Work with internal and external strategic partners to create products using current industry best practices. Serve as a liaison between the marketing/client strategists and creative team and between the creative team and individual clients. Anticipate problems that may impede a project from completing on time and implement solutions. Creative & Art: Define the creative vision with team members for all brands, advertising campaigns, and marketing messages. Establish schedules for short-term and long-term projects, plan tasks accordingly, and ensure goals and deadlines are met. Ensure the execution of all creative work stays within budget. Draw from your holistic understanding of the entire creative process to identify impactful copy, design, and messaging. Ensure visuals, messaging, and interactive elements of a project align with the creative vision and brand standards. Help develop storyboards for video and animation projects. Website & Lead Generation: Work with MarTech Manager and pod to coordinate web projects. Champion in-house web development for clients and M3 Group sites. Coach the design team and web team to create cutting-edge, innovative websites. Create wireframes, storyboards, user flows, site maps, and user interfaces. Develop rapid prototypes using Adobe Creative Suite. Identify opportunities to improve agency processes and train teammates as appropriate. Provide direction and strategy for lead generation software for internal processes and external client projects. Mentorship & Team Growth: Mentor, motivate, and direct creative teams. Assist in hiring and managing Copywriters, Graphic Designers, and other members of the creative team. Help grow the skillsets of the creative teams and resource group. Identify a growth strategy for needed skills within the team. Additional duties as assigned. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required: Bachelor's degree or higher in a relevant field. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Familiarity with software programs such as Photoshop, InDesign, and Illustrator. Knowledge of developing brand identities through omnichannel marketing. Comfort interacting with high-profile clients and industry professionals. Evidence of participation in ongoing professional development in graphic design or social media. Hands-on experience applying design, copy, or web best practices. Project management and leadership skills. Experience in web design, specifically with HTML5 and WordPress, is preferred. Ability to present information concisely and accurately, with attention to detail. Ability to work well under pressure while managing diverse teams on multiple projects with strict deadlines. Physical Demands & Work Environment: May be required to remain in a stationary position for extended periods. Ability to operate standard office technology, equipment, and tools, including many hours of computer and phone usage. Occasionally needs to move about inside the office area.
