Roles & Responsibilities:
Accurately interpret and fill prescriptions, verifying patient information and medication orders. Provide comprehensive patient counseling on medication usage, side effects, and interactions. Collaborate with healthcare professionals to review and optimize medication therapies. Ensure compliance with all state and federal regulations, including FDA, DEA, and Board of Pharmacy guidelines. Monitor medication therapy for potential adverse effects and contraindications. Maintain accurate records of dispensing activities and patient information in the pharmacy system. Manage inventory, including ordering, receiving, and stocking of pharmaceutical products. Participate in quality assurance initiatives and contribute to process improvements. Education & Experience:
Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) or Bachelor of Pharmacy (BPharm). Valid state pharmacy license (must be in good standing). Minimum of 2 years of experience in a retail, hospital, or clinical pharmacy setting preferred. Strong knowledge of drug interactions, pharmacology, and best practices in patient care. Excellent communication skills and the ability to effectively counsel patients. Proficient in using pharmacy management software and electronic health records (EHR).
