JOB DESCRIPTION Our client is seeking an Integration Engineer to join our dynamic Vehicle Controls Integration engineering team. In this key role, you will drive the evaluation, integration, and management of firmware updates and releases, ensuring seamless functionality across all electronic control systems. You'll oversee component verification documentation and actively contribute to the Verification and Validation (V&V) process, ensuring every firmware update is rigorously tested and validated on schedule. Collaboration with cross-functional teams is essential, as you'll work to ensure the smooth integration of controllers and firmware across component, subsystem, system, and vehicle levels, enhancing the overall reliability and performance of our cutting-edge vehicles.
In this role, you will:
Improve and align supplier firmware test strategies, overall test plans, and test coverage reports with stakeholders, identifying and creating additional test cases as needed. Develop test cases based on internal knowledge of robot behavior, use cases, and past issue resolutions. Collaborate with suppliers to adapt test plans, balancing risks from firmware changes and regression to meet project goals. Document supplier test plans, coverage assessments, and defect impacts using our clients standard processes. Provide regular progress updates and defect impact analyses to cross-functional teams. pprove supplier firmware readiness for the next phase of verification and integration Qualifications:
BS or MS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field. t least 8 years of experience in firmware architecture, functionality, integration processes, diagnostics, verification, and validation within the automotive or related industries Expertise in applying V&V ASPICE principles across suppliers with varying software development maturity. Proficiency in test techniques, including white-box, black-box, and exploratory testing. Experience with implementation of various test methodology, and creating HIL test asset and environment
