Full Job Description / Job Summary

Civil Engineering and Construction Management Firm is seeking a Senior Cost Estimator experienced in Heavy Civil and Public Works projects. Experience with Wastewater Treatment Plant Projects or other large-scale industrial plant projects is a plus. This is a hybrid-remote position with a flexible schedule.

As a Senior Cost Estimator, you will provide detailed cost estimating services for complex water treatment facility construction and modernization projects. This role is crucial in ensuring accurate budgeting and cost control for essential public infrastructure improvements.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop detailed construction cost estimates for water/wastewater treatment facility projects.

Analyze mechanical systems, equipment, and infrastructure components.

Review project documents, specifications, and drawings to prepare comprehensive estimates.

Identify and quantify project risks and contingencies.

Work closely with project teams to validate scope and technical requirements.

Support value engineering and cost optimization initiatives.

Prepare cost analyses and recommendations for project stakeholders.

Required Qualifications:

10+ years of cost estimating experience in water/wastewater treatment or related facilities.

Strong knowledge of mechanical systems and utilities infrastructure.

Relevant experience in water/wastewater treatment or related facility construction.

Proven experience estimating large-scale public infrastructure projects.

Proficiency in cost estimating software and Microsoft Office Suite.

Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field.

Professional Engineer (PE) license.

Certified Cost Professional (CCP) or similar certification.

Experience with public sector projects.

Knowledge of water treatment processes and equipment.
