IT Concepts, Inc. (ITC) seeks an experienced Infrastructure Management and Virtualization Specialist to support our customer in the Infrastructure Management & Virtualization Branch. The Infrastructure Management & Virtualization Branch (IMVB) is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining our customer’s Data Center Virtualization Infrastructure (DCVI), which is located in all four of the customer’s service delivery points (SDPs) across the country. IMVB also manages the infrastructure that supports the customer’s virtual desktop infrastructures (VDI), various lab infrastructures, and regional Office infrastructures. These platforms are the foundation for thousands of virtual servers and desktops that handle much of the customer’s critical workload.
Responsibilities:
Configure, implement, and support Microsoft Windows Server 2022, Windows 11 Workstations, and applications.
Configure, implement, and support software such as VMware SRM, replicator, DOME, vROPS, VCHA, vRO, vRA/Aria, and SSO architecture (including the web client).
Formulate conclusions about the state of the virtualization environment using third-party virtualization reporting tools such as DOME, vROPS, VCHA, vRO, vRA/Aria, and VirtualCenter.
Administration of Red Hat Enterprise Linux 8.4 and higher.
Red Hat Linux Satellite Server Management.
Develop and participate in multi-factor authentication (MFA) for vCenter.
Participates and possess knowledge of the new technology of virtual cloud foundation (VCF)
Managing vCenter certificates.
Migrating virtual servers to DCVI (consolidation)
Configure, implement and support Microsoft Windows Server 2022 and Windows 11 Workstations and software.
Install, configure, and manage Microsoft SQL 2019 (or higher) Standard and/or Enterprise and PostgreSQL. SQL Express is not considered a full Standard or Enterprise version.
Use the designated AD monitoring solution, OpsMan, to devise, test, implement, and maintain preventive maintenance
Troubleshoot Windows Server 202 and Windows 11 and software and hardware issues related to the operation of the SSA’s MECM infrastructure servers.
Troubleshoot ESXi 7.x and higher hypervisor, VMware software, Dell Blade, and Rackmount server and chassis hardware issues related to the operation of the SSA’s infrastructure servers.
Troubleshoot Windows 11 Desktop (VDI), Server 2022, software, and hardware issues related to the operation of the SSA’s OpsMan infrastructure servers.
Location: Hybrid in Woodlawn, MD
Hours: 6 pm - 2:30 am shift
Requirements
Must be able to work a 6pm – 2:30am shift
Must have 10 years of relevant experience
Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field
Possess knowledge of networking concepts from the physical layer through the operating system layer.
Possess knowledge of technologies and architectures that aid in the failover and disaster recovery of workloads and/or virtual servers/desktops.
Possess knowledge of methodologies and architecture that support the backing up and restoration of data, servers, and desktops in a virtual environment.
Participate in problem management reporting, resolution, and documentation in ServiceNow.
Knowledge and experience with the following:
VMware
SharePoint
Splunk
System Center Operation Manager
Active Directory
SRM
vROPS, vRO, vRA Cloud Automation,
VMware Aria Suite and PowerCLi
SQL
Linux
Clearance Requirements:
