THE TEAM
The User Experience team is a highly collaborative closely knit team, which allows us to have a big and far-reaching impact across the firm. Our team sets the standard for UX/UI designs, patterns, and interactions across the various applications at Cambridge Associates to provide a consistent experience for our users.
THE OPPORTUNITY
We are seeking a creative and motivated intern to join our design team, focusing on building Figma components. This is an exciting opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a dynamic environment, working closely with experienced designers. The internship offers a unique chance to develop your skills and make a tangible impact on our design initiatives, contributing to projects that influence our products and services at Cambridge Associates.
Interns are expected to work 40 hours per week during the summer (June-August). Interns will be competitively compensated. The individual is expected to be onsite 1 or 2 days each week in the Boston or Arlington office.
Interns will gain knowledge of how an Information Technology Department supports a financial services firm by working on projects with analysts and developers from a variety of IT teams.
RESPONSIBILITIES
You will be involved in the entire design process, from brainstorming and conceptualization to execution and iteration. You will work on creating and refining user interface elements, ensuring they meet our design standards and enhance user experience. The ideal candidate will have a passion for design, a keen eye for detail, and a willingness to learn and adapt in a collaborative setting.
QUALIFICATIONS
• Candidate must be actively enrolled in an undergraduate program at an accredited College or University
• Pursuing a degree in User Experience Design, Interaction Design, Graphic Design, Human Computer Interaction or related fields
• Knowledge of responsive design from desktop, tablet, to mobile and the impact the viewport has on usability and architecture
• Strong proficiency in using the design tool Figma
