As Databricks’ Social Media Manager, you will have the unique opportunity to shape the narrative of a company at the forefront of data and AI. Databricks is on a mission to simplify and democratize data and AI, enabling organizations to solve the world's toughest problems. You will be a part of the Brand Content and Social Media team and play an important role in sharing our mission and our passion with customers, followers, and the broader data and AI community. In this role, you will leverage your social media expertise to create impactful content that enhances our brand awareness, drives engagement, and contributes to Marketing objectives. This position offers the chance to work in a dynamic environment alongside a team of passionate Marketing professionals dedicated to empowering every organization to be successful with data and AI. The impact you will have: Content Creation: Plan, develop, edit, schedule, and publish engaging content daily across Databricks social media channels (LinkedIn, X, YouTube, Facebook, Instagram). Content Marketing: Create social media content from other Databricks content available (blogs, webinars, events, research, ebooks, videos, etc.). Strategy Development and Implementation: Research competitive and industry best practices and follow the industry to identify what’s working. Recommend, plan, and implement social media content to support Marketing and business goals and increase brand awareness. Channel Management: Maintain brand profiles on brand-managed channels to make sure channel profiles are up to date and refreshed several times per year. Analytics and Reporting: Monitor, track, analyze, and report on performance metrics using tools like Sprout Social, Google Analytics, Facebook Insights, YouTube Studio, Tableau, and other social media monitoring tools. Set specific objectives and report on KPIs and overall brand channel health and competitive differentiation. Collaboration and Coordination: Collaborate with other teams, such as product marketing, partner marketing, training and development, community, and brand creative, to ensure consistency of message across channels and support overall marketing goals. Draft social media copy from source content that is clear, informative, and compelling—work with cross-functional teams to draft and get content approved prior to publishing. Trend Monitoring and Innovation: Stay up-to-date with the latest social media best practices, technologies, and trends. Suggest and implement new post types and topics to develop brand awareness, audience engagement, and follower growth. Influencer and Follower Engagement: Monitor brand channels for inbound engagements and mentions. Engage with followers, fans, customers, community members, and influencers to develop relationships, build brand affinity, and enhance brand visibility. What we look for: 3-5 years of social media experience in an enterprise software company Experience working with data and AI companies and technologies Previous experience with data management or data analytics A willingness to learn about our core follower audiences and what they are into Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to craft compelling social media posts that drive engagement Strong program management skills, with experience managing multiple high-priority workstreams simultaneously Collaborative, team player, with a proven track record of partnering cross-functionally with product, PR, creative, and content marketing teams Deep understanding of the social media landscape, and best practices for each channel Experience with social media asset generation, familiarity with best practices and tools available Experience with crisis communications and reputation management Creative, strategic thinker with a passion for technology and innovation Channel management experience and familiarity with managing a social media inbox for inbound customer inquiries Analytical with experience setting and tracking social media metrics and KPIs Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, Journalism, or a related field
