SCOPE OF POSITION
OSU Harding Hospital/East Hospital-Talbot Hall provides the most comprehensive behavioral healthcare services for adults, older adults, and adolescents in central Ohio. We offer more treatment options and a more experienced and diversified staff than any other psychiatric or behavioral healthcare provider in the area. All of our Harding outpatient, IOP, and Partial Hospitalization services include a comprehensive evaluation, diagnosis from a qualified clinician and implementation of an individualized treatment plan. We offer specialized evidence-based services for patients experiencing Mood and Anxiety Disorders, Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder, Psychosis, Trauma- and Stress-Related Disorders, and Sexual Dysfunction. We offer specialty programs in Womens Behavioral Health, Addictions, Trauma, and Neurocognitive Disorders. Talbot Hall provides the most comprehensive addiction services for adults in central Ohio, offering specialized evidence-based services for patients experiencing a Substance Use Disorder. We offer traumatic brain injury specific treatment, the latest Medicated Assisted Treatment for opiate and alcohol use disorders. We offer Detox, Intensive Outpatient, Partial Hospitalization and many Outpatient and continuing care groups.
OSU Harding Hospital Behavioral Health Partial hospitalization and intensive outpatient programs are therapeutic treatment experiences for individuals who require more than the conventional outpatient level of care but do not need the security of a locked unit or 24-hour care.
These programs can act as a bridge to help a person transition from an inpatient setting to an outpatient community setting for treatment. They can also assist a person who is struggling to cope with their symptoms with outpatient therapy alone but does not require inpatient hospitalization. These programs are designed to treat a variety of psychiatric illnesses using group psychotherapy, psychopharmacology, psychoeducation, and individual psychotherapy.
We currently offer multiple levels of care, allowing staff to develop and provide a specifically designed individualized treatment program. We meet with each potential patient to assess which level of care would be most beneficial. Family and friends are included in all stages of the treatment process as often as possible and as deemed appropriate.
Scope of Position
Clinical, leadership, and education position, including, but not limited to:
Coordinate the clinical activities of outpatient team members to achieve the most effective, efficient and evidence-based service delivery to patients amp; families.
Monitor and assess practice patterns to ensure a high level of clinical expertise and positive outcomes for patients and families. Reports outcomes to management.
Provide comprehensive diagnostic evaluation for patients with mental health complaints.
Provide psychotherapy to individuals with mental amp; behavioral disorders to facilitate return to previous or improved functioning. Services provided include individual psychotherapy, group psychotherapy, and/or couple/family therapy.
Formulate individualized treatment plans to assist patients to determine and meet treatment goals.
Other duties include advocating within local community if needed; work as part of clinical team; maintain third-party payer relationships; and complete all necessary paperwork (e.g., disability, FMLA).
Position Summary
The Partial Hospital and Intensive Outpatient Programs Manager is responsible for, with oversight by the Director, managing operations and individual contributors who exercise moderate independence in assignments. The Manager is also responsible for the training and orientation of employees as well as the overall ongoing development and initiation of innovative mental health and substance use disorder treatment within the Partial Hospital and Intensive Outpatient Programs. The Manager is tasked to research, develop, and initiate evidenced based clinical curriculum, ensure coordination of services, and provide guidance and feedback related to overall quality assurance. The Manager also provides clinical and administrative supervision for staff and assists with program development tasks in collaboration with the Director. Additionally, the Manager works with a small caseload of patients accessing services at the PHP or IOP level of care, providing evidence-based, individual and group psychotherapy. The Manager leads administrative and treatment team meetings. May also serve as clinical supervisor for licensed clinical staff seeking their Independent social work licensure (LISW). May also be assigned as field instructor to OSU College of Social Work MSW students completing their internships at Harding Hospital.
Minimum Qualifications
For Hire:
Masters degree in social work or counseling; Independent Ohio license to practice (i.e., LISW, LPCC) with Supervisory Designation is required. A minimum of five years of experience working with patients with mental illness and/or substance use disorders is also required. Experience and/or training in at least one evidence-based psychotherapy modality (e.g., cognitive-behavioral therapy, interpersonal psychotherapy) is preferred. Prior leadership and supervisory experience is preferred. Ongoing:
Maintain licensure(s), credentials and CBLs. Practice within the parameters of the Ohio Counselor and Social Work Board.
