OVERVIEW
As a vital member of the clinical team, this role is responsible for accurately dispensing controlled medications prescribed by providers. The position ensures timely medication filling, and fosters clear and concise communication with patients, clinical staff, and medical providers.
Requirements

Ensure compliance with ACHC specialty pharmacy accreditation standards. Review prescriptions issued by providers to verify accuracy and identify necessary formulas and ingredients needed. Accurately and promptly fill controlled medications as prescribed by healthcare providers. Engage in Medication Therapy Management by reviewing patient medications and offering clinical recommendations based on current medical guidelines. Provide clear, detailed instructions to patients regarding proper medication usage. Adhere to established procedures for the secure handling of controlled substances and the disposal of hazardous materials. Accurately input data into the information system. Maintain effective communication with clinical staff and healthcare providers. Prepare required reporting, as needed. Pre-authorizes medications as required by payers. Performs all duties, services and documentation in full compliance with CHC/SEK policies and procedures. Perform other duties as assigned. :::
