Graphical Design Specialist
is a planner and project leader who owns and drives design updates for a specific international commercial terms' assortment managing projects from artwork, via prepress and printing to ready printed material, in sync with input from Essity stakeholders to bring their brands to life and effectively servicing our client. As a leading consumer products company, Essity's diverse portfolio of trusted brands includes personal care essentials to sustainable hygiene solutions including the iconic Tena brand and is continuously innovating and investing to expand their portfolio. This means the way their brands show up on shelf is ever changing and we help them manage the complex process of transforming design concepts to shelf ready packaging. Leveraging intimate knowledge of their brands and their processes, our Graphics Design Specialist works closely with and/or supporting different functions in the value stream, including local marketing, manufacturing, global teams at Essity, and planning, while cooperating daily with Olberding Brand Family and other suppliers. As an Olberding Brand Family team member at the client location, the Graphical Design Specialist has accountability for ensuring projects meet client needs and expectations are balanced with Olberding Brand Family's internal objectives. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Works with client's team from various functions to gather information related to the projects executed by Olberding Brand Family. Gathers information and materials from the client's marketing team needed to initiate a project. Drives the artwork and prepress work according to defined technical, regulatory, legal, qualitative, design and brand requirements, involving internal and external stakeholders to meet deadlines. The responsibility includes all types of artworks, typically consumer packaging and cases, as well as different types of substrates, depending on the specified assortment/articles. Communicates needed information and timing expectations to the internal client's staff. Tracks the overall schedule of work from Olberding Brand Family and is the gatekeeper for milestones between internal systems and other packaging lifecycle systems used by client. Acts as the liaison between Olberding Brand Family, printers, design studios and client to convey issues and concerns on behalf of client. Champions the communication between Olberding Brand Family and the client as it relates to color development of master images, color standards and brand intent. Interfaces with the entire supply chain of partners involved in the production of packaging graphics for the client including brand, marketing, graphics, print tools and printers. Responsible for approving files and collect approvals from stakeholders according to defined approval schedule. Drive cost efficiency in artwork creation and implementation, prepress and print. Main contact person for artwork/prepress/printer supplier for selected activities, driving the relationship and following up when needed. Represent GD team and provide graphic design expertise in meetings when requested. Plan, manage and follow up costs related to artwork and prepress as needed. Support transfer of knowledge, skills and best practice within Essity. Contribute to continuously increase efficiency and quality in ways of working, and to remove barriers to execution. Lead the development of translations of master texts for Innovation Projects. Approve printed substrates according to color proofs. Minimum Required Skills
Strong project management and organization skills within complex and large-scale graphic design development, artwork, prepress and printing processes. Experience from working with translations is preferable. Ability to create, collaborate, manage projects and direct in the digital workspace Strong knowledge of consumer products packaging, creative design, and production artwork Proficient use of the Microsoft operating system including knowledge of business software such as Office 365 and Acrobat Excellent interpersonal and communication skills General understanding of major printing methods (Flexo, Gravure, Offset) Experience in artwork management systems is required, preferably ESKO Experience in SAP, a plus Ability to travel 10-20 days per year Ideal Candidate Attributes

University degree within relevant field, preferably packaging or design 7+ years' experience in project management and understanding of prepress and printing processes Consumer product company knowledge or experience Fluency in English (written and oral). Good knowledge in French and/or Spanish (written) is preferable
