Job Type: Full-Time (Monday to Friday, 8 am - 5 pm PST)
Salary: $100k - $160k Annually (Option of 100% Commission 1099 or $60k - $80k Base + Commission %)
Job Description:
The Estimator at The Capital Edge is a pivotal role responsible for overseeing each assigned project from inception to completion. You must embody qualities such as organization, empathy, professionalism, and excellent communication skills. Proficiency in Xactimate, material and pricing knowledge, sales and design skills, and the ability to read blueprints and engineering plans are key to success in this role.
Duties Include:
Check in with owners during the mitigation phase to explain your role and that you will be onsite to inspect once mitigation / dry out is completed Inspect the property once mitigation is completed. Meet with the owner and go over the details of the project. This will include measuring all areas and taking photos to document each room. Explain to the owner the next steps of the process and expectations for how the project will go. Providing estimates to owners and insurance carriers. Following up on approvals and project commencement. Preparing service agreements for signatures. Collaborating with project managers during production, including addressing any changes or issues. Preparing change orders. Ensuring financial alignment with initial budgets. Best Practices:
Regularly reviewing your job list to keep projects on track. Providing detailed estimates to minimize insurance company pushback. Maintaining regular communication with property owners to keep them informed. Creating comprehensive production files to support project managers. Responsibilities:
Inspecting damaged properties post-mitigation. Preparing and submitting repair estimates to adjusters for approval. Maintaining communication with homeowners throughout the insurance approval process. Sending and documenting contract information Collaborating with project managers during the production process. Qualifications:
Proficiency in insurance claims, onsite inspections, and Xactimate for projects ranging from $30k to $250k+. Ability to interact effectively with homeowners and adjusters. Experience in developing full estimates and contracts. Strong project communication and management skills. Knowledge of supplement project amendments and financial tracking. Competence in cold calling with insurance adjusters and mitigation companies. Requirements:
Familiarity with software tools, including Dash CRM, Matterport 3D, Xactimate, Encircle, and Google Suite. Benefits:
