In this job, you’ll perform telecommunications activities with a forward-thinking automation approach to improve engineering processes and develop workflows on critical initiatives related to substations and data center networks, fiber optics transport systems, and microwave systems. You will provide expert guidance on all matters related to SCE Networks and collaborate with multi-functional teams to ensure that automation efforts align with overall IT Grid Services business goals. This requires strong communication and collaboration skills as you work closely with different team members to understand their requirements and tailor the automation approach to meet their needs. Key Focus of Role Strategic Planning:

Develop and implement telecommunications policies and procedures to help achieve IT Digital Grid Services organizational business goals and drive innovation. Collaboration:

Partner with multi-functional teams to understand business needs and drive data standards, ensuring automation strategies are effective and efficient. Automation:

Use data analytics and automation technology to enhance automation strategies and deliver meaningful benefits to the IT Digital Grid Services organization. Data Standards:

Implement standards, measure performance of engineering metrics data standards, and report progress to leadership forums. Data Engineering:

Develop and maintain technical data standards to ensure alignment with emerging technologies and industry trends. Workplace Learning:

Troubleshoots business-critical and time-sensitive production impacting incidents. Manages and supports application and infrastructure resources in new project implementations. Drives the usage of and improvements to the IT Service desk ticketing system. Coordinates and drives resolution for complex and multi-site user-impacting events. Assists the IT asset management program. Participates in developing processes such as configuration management and incident management. Serves as the initial point of contact on day-to-day operational and performance items. Registers incidents and requests and effectively prioritizes work to resolve within the agreed service level agreement. Performs onsite hardware and software fixes across multiple sites. Prepares detailed documentation and guidance for users. Ensures protection of physical, financial, and cybersecurity assets. Minimum Qualifications

Seven or more years of experience in IT Service Delivery. Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Electrical, Computer Engineering, Telecommunications, or relevant technical field. Five or more years of experience in Engineering or Data Analytics. Five or more years of experience in Telecommunications. Experience in Backend Automation Technologies and Artificial Intelligence. Experience with process improvement workflows such as ITIL, Kaizen or Lean. Experience with Machine Learning Technologies in Data Modeling. Experience with optical theory and transport technologies. Experience with Telecommunications Engineering within the Electric Utility Industry. Experience with electric grid operations. Experience mentoring and developing technical staff. Strong ethics, leadership, interpersonal skills, and communication abilities. Additional Information This position’s work mode is

hybrid . The employee will report to an SCE facility for a set number of days with the option to work remotely on the remaining days. Visit our

Position will require up to 10% travel throughout the SCE service territory. This position has been identified as a NERC/CIP impacted position.
