This position involves managing complex toxic tort cases, collaborating with colleagues across multiple offices, and engaging with local counsel nationwide. This is a hybrid remote opportunity that includes travel for depositions and court appearances. Duties:
Research legal, medical, and scientific issues to develop defense strategies. Take and defend depositions. Manage discovery processes, including e-discovery. Draft client reports, pleadings, motions, briefs, and other legal documents. Engage in significant and complex motion practice. Participate in trial and alternative dispute resolution (ADR) planning and preparation. Represent clients at courtroom appearances. Requirements:
3-5 years of experience handling chemical exposure or toxic tort cases. Strong deposition, motion, pleading, and e-discovery experience. Ability to function effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. High level of organizational skills for managing competing priorities. Ability to absorb and understand new information rapidly. Professional demeanor with a cooperative and positive attitude. Military experience welcomed. Education:
Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an ABA-accredited law school. Certifications:
Admission to the New York and New Jersey Bars (or eligibility to waive into NJ). Skills:
Excellent research, writing, and verbal communication skills. Proficiency with video conferencing tools (Zoom, MS Teams) for remote depositions and meetings.
