Laboratory Technician, Quality Control

*LOCAL CANDIATES ONLY/Entry-Level The responsibilities of the QC Technician include, but are not limited to: Assist sampling of raw materials and packaging components. Assist sampling of cleaning samples and purified (DI) water Perform testing of packaging components and generation of test result sheets. Monitor sample flow in lab and QC sample logbook. Maintain SDS, certificates of analysis and conformance, laboratory notebooks and log books, as assigned. Maintain sampling area, in a clean, orderly and organized manner to include mopping and vacuuming floors and ordering sampling supplies before they run out. Maintain raw material and packaging component retention program Experience/Knowledge/Requirements: H.S. Diploma, GED Up to 2 year’s laboratory experience Verbal and written communication skills, analytical skills Attention to Detail Good Math skills required (e.g. converting ratios to decimals and vice versa; conversion of one unit to another; addition fractions and decimals, etc.) Requires long periods of time standing, frequent walking between warehouses and QC laboratory. May be required to lift moderately heavy items (up to 50lbs).
