Construction Project Manager

for a project in conjunction with the federal government, in Washington, D.C. to join our expanding team.

Responsibilities & Duties

Work with multiple lines of business to define program and requirements. Work with customer to determine best location or multiple location options for each project. Design (a background in office design and/or interior fit-outs, such as architecture, interior design or engineering is crucial). Provide project schedule to customer and work with MEP and Architecture to plan and execute projects. Communicate project progress to customers, including high-level executives within DHS. Move services - move customers to temporary location for duration of construction and move them back when construction is completed. Team player with a positive attitude, is self-motivated and solution oriented. Basic Qualifications

A bachelor’s degree in architecture, engineering or construction management (civil, mechanical, electrical or architectural, etc.) from an accredited University recognized by the U.S. Department of Education or a minimum of four years in a project management position for interior renovation or new construction projects. A minimum of 4+ years’ experience in commercial construction project management (in addition to education or experience requirements above). Experience managing complex new construction or major renovation commercial building projects, and experience managing simultaneous construction and/or building projects. Ability to work independently and in groups and in a stressful environment. Experience interfacing with GSA, A&E firms, building suppliers and construction trades. Understanding of construction methodology and scheduling. Experience developing Government project cost estimates and tracking funds. Ability to develop project schedules in MS Project and/or Primavera P3-P6. Ability to direct facility construction activities and run construction progress meetings. Ability to electronically review and print AutoCAD documents. Experience in commercial projects that included a large percentage of systems furniture. Ability to pass a DHS “suitability” background investigation is a requirement. Must hold active US Secret security clearance. Preferred Qualifications

Familiarity with NCR DHS locations is preferred. Familiarity with design/construction of secure (SCIF) spaces is preferred.

$85,000 - $110,000 a year

Salary commensurate with experience.
