The Investor Relations Associate will report to the Director of Investor Relations for the firm's Closed Loop Capital Management business. This role will work directly with all of the company's current and prospective institutional, corporate, and family office investors (limited partners, or LPs) and will be responsible for capital formation, business development, ongoing relationship management and investor communications. This team member's responsibilities around fundraising, investor communications, reporting and fund administration across the firm's funds will require strong collaboration skills to work with team members across all functions of the firm including venture capital, private credit, catalytic capital, and buyout private equity investment teams, investor relations, corporate partnerships, communications, fund finance, impact measurement and management, legal and compliance.
The position presents the opportunity for a professional who has worked previously in an investment banking, investor relations role with capital formation and deal execution experience, strong modeling and presentation skills, excellent professional communication abilities, project management strengths, and exceptional attention to detail to work in a fast-paced environment within a rapidly growing company. Responsibilities
Build and maintain investor trust and overall satisfaction in our service delivery, anticipating their ongoing needs
Support relationship management of current and prospective investors, including ongoing enhancements and maintenance to client information databases
Pipeline management and fundraising execution through the fund formation or deal lifecycle
Respond to client inquiries in a timely manner, in accordance with internal procedures
Design, produce and maintain investment strategy overviews and marketing materials
Coordinate and prepare agendas and relevant materials for client meetings, both in-person and virtual
Support the design and production of written and video content as well as in-person events prepared for clients and external stakeholders; this includes the firmwide Annual General Meeting
Produce and ensure highest quality of all standard and bespoke investor reporting in partnership with relevant colleagues across fund finance, impact measurement and management, and investor relations
Manage investor communications and quality control of reporting related to ongoing capital account administration including, but not limited to quarterly financial statements, distributions, and capital calls
Build and maintain a strong partnership with internal and external business partners to deliver excellent service to Closed Loop Partners' investors
Work closely with finance and investment colleagues and third-party fund administrator to ensure accurate, timely, and compliant reporting
Facilitate the "Know your Client & Anti Money Laundering" due diligence process by working closely with third-party fund administrator responsible for services provided to clients
Have a continuous focus on process improvement in the service model to minimize risk and drive efficiency
Participate in projects related to existing or new services as needed
Qualifications
3+ years in investor relations role for an established private equity or private credit firm, or investment banking experience
Knowledgeable in investment management, investment operations, and fund accounting/reporting
Proven ability in building relationships in a client facing function
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to adapt to evolving client needs
Experience working in a team setting and have consistent track record collaborating across complex organizations
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and consistently meet deadlines
Robust data analysis and data visualization skills
Exceptional presentation design and software skills (e.g. PowerPoint, Canva)
Excellent Excel and financial modeling skills
Superb written and verbal communication skills
Candidates should have a keen eye for opportunities to build efficiency, and proven success executing these improvements
Curiosity and interest in learning, researching and organizing information
Outstanding organization skills and project management abilities
Meticulous attention to detail
Self-motivated, proactive, and determined to achieve goals
