Student Data Coordinator VISTA
The Albuquerque Sign Language Academy's (ASLA) bilingual model incorporates American Sign Language (ASL) and English to serve hearing and deaf students in an inclusive environment. ASLA builds bridges through dual language learning so students, families, and the surrounding community can unite and flourish together. Cypress Tree New Mexico (CTNM) is an autonomous organization of independent charter school and non-profit leaders united to meet their common needs and aspirations. Our mission is to support educational innovation by deliberately and efficiently sharing our expertise and resources to improve outcomes for communities furthest from opportunity. CTNM Member Organizations include ASLA and the following: South Valley Preparatory School: SVP's mission is to provide a small, safe and unique family learning community where students are prepared for high school and beyond. This middle school transforms the educational experience through a guiding philosophy that all students can learn. Mark Armijo Academy: MAA's mission is to provide a quality and relevant education in a community that promotes caring and belonging for all students, especially those who seek a more personal and innovative educational setting. ASLA's North Fourth Arts Center: The N4 Arts Initiative will connect children and adults with disabilities and the greater community through education and the arts - providing a purposeful existence infused with joy, creativity, and a love for learning. School of Dreams Academy: SODA's mission is to graduate students of the Rio Grande Valley who embrace an education that emphasizes Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Mathematics (STEAM) while focusing on developing well rounded individuals with good character ready for post-secondary success By serving as a VISTA, you will engage with initiatives focused on eliminating poverty by improving educational and employment outcomes for students and adults within New Mexico.
Member Duties :
The VISTA member will develop/implement an internal system designed to effectively utilize resources and capture data to ensure efficient operations and organizational procedures. This system will compile data related to student demographics, disability, attendance, behavior, coursework, short-cycle and summative assessments, and workforce skills and interests, to develop an intervention and reporting system focused on demonstrating student progress and improving educational outcomes, postsecondary and workforce training opportunities, and ultimately employment, leading to a reduction in poverty. The VISTA member will build capacity by building systems to inform educational offerings, researching methods for removing barriers to achievement, and building partnerships within the local and national community to support and further educational and employment opportunities upon graduation. The VISTA will focus on Performance Measurements, Student Tracking, and efficient Technology Use.
