Position Description:
The Department of Pediatrics at the Medical College of Wisconsin is seeking a fellowship trained pediatric non-invasive imaging cardiologist with advanced training in echocardiography & cross sectional imaging in the Division of Pediatric Cardiology at Children's Wisconsin. Appointment is anticipated at the Assistant/Associate Professor level.
The successful candidate will join a nationally recognized academic imaging team within the Section of Cardiology and Department of Pediatrics. Our busy imaging group performs & interprets nearly 12,000 echocardiograms, over 600 cardiac MRIs, and 150 cardiac CT scans per year. These studies are performed at the Milwaukee campus as well as at our satellite campuses throughout Wisconsin.
Clinical duties may include both general cardiology inpatient service & outpatient clinic. Participation in the educational mission of the section will be required. Additional service and clinics in general cardiology can be negotiated.
The Herma Heart Institute is internationally recognized for excellence, particularly in the care of children with complex forms of congenital heart disease. The Herma Heart Institute provides comprehensive pediatric & adult congenital cardiovascular services throughout the Midwest, and consists of 30 pediatric cardiology faculty members, 3 pediatric cardiothoracic surgeons, 7 pediatric cardiac intensivists, a dedicated cardiac anesthesia team, and a cadre of highly invested and talented nurse practitioners & physician assistants.
