to leverage advanced engineering and analytical techniques to evaluate the performance and outcomes of our markets and operations. In this role, you will collaborate across the organization to provide comprehensive insights into MISO's market and operational activities, influencing decisions that enhance the value, efficiency, and reliability of our energy grid.
As a
Market and Operations Analytics Senior Engineer
, you will have the opportunity to:
Apply engineering and analytical techniques to assess market and operational performance and contribute to data-driven decision-making.
Analyze trends, identify operational anomalies, and recommend performance enhancements.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to collect, preprocess, and analyze energy market and infrastructure data.
Conduct ad-hoc engineering analyses to support key business decisions.
Develop and evaluate metrics for measuring market and operational outcomes.
Identify and communicate opportunities for market and operational improvements.
Ensure compliance with industry regulations and standards, including SOC 1, CIP, FERC, and NERC requirements...
We are looking for energetic and dedicated employees who have:
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field.
At least 4 years in Power System Engineering, Simulation, Modeling, Market, and Operations. (required)
Proficiency in programming languages (Python, SQL) for power system and market studies.
Familiarity with ISO/RTO markets, operations, or utility experience preferred.
Advanced degrees (Master's or PhD) are a plus.
We would also prefer candidates with the following:
Expertise in electricity markets, market dynamics (LMP/FTR), and power systems.
Proficient in SQL, Python, and data interpretation techniques.
Ability to work collaboratively in teams and contribute to a positive work environment.
Appropriate level will be determined based upon experience, knowledge, and skills.
