Your Job Molex, a Koch Company, is seeking a motivated and innovative Software Automation Intern to join our team in Fremont, CA this upcoming Summer 2025! The internship opportunity will be a 12-week program running from late May to mid-August 2025. Koch Intern Video Our Team This internship offers an exciting opportunity to work on a cutting-edge automation project in the manufacturing of fiber optical devices. The intern will contribute to developing and enhancing software solutions for alignment and measurement processes, playing a key role in optimizing manufacturing workflows. This position is ideal for a student passionate about automation, software development, and manufacturing technologies, offering exposure to the latest trends and hands-on experience in a high-tech industry. What You Will Do Develop, test, and implement software modules for automating alignment and measurement processes in fiber optical device manufacturing. Analyze and optimize existing automation algorithms to improve precision and efficiency. Explore and integrate the latest technological trends in manufacturing automation into the project. Document technical specifications, workflows, and software development processes. Participate in project meetings, providing insights and updates on the progress.

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications) Enrolled in a Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering or related degree program Eligible for full-time employment on or before Summer 2026 (Junior, Senior) Strong programming skills in languages such as Python, C++, C#, or Java. Familiarity with automation tools, or robotics in manufacturing. What Will Put You Ahead Familiar with computer vision algorithms for pattern recognition, motion tracking, and dimension measurement. Understanding of fiber optics or photonics For this role, we anticipate paying $38 / hour. This role is eligible for variable pay, issued as a monetary bonus or in another form.
