Head of AI
to lead their artificial intelligence and machine learning initiatives. About the Role: The Head of AI will play a pivotal role in driving the company’s AI strategy, overseeing the development and implementation of innovative machine learning models tailored for clinical data and EHR processing. This individual will lead a team of top-tier data scientists, ML engineers, and researchers, and work closely with cross-functional stakeholders to deliver scalable and impactful solutions that address critical challenges in healthcare operations. Key Responsibilities: Develop and execute the company’s AI and ML strategy, aligning it with business goals and industry trends. Lead and grow a high-performing AI/ML team, fostering a culture of innovation and excellence. Design, build, and deploy scalable AI models for clinical data processing, NLP for unstructured EHR data, and predictive analytics for payor/payee decision-making. Collaborate with product, engineering, and clinical teams to integrate AI-driven solutions into the company’s offerings. Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and data privacy standards, including HIPAA, when designing AI solutions. Present AI-driven insights and solutions to executive leadership, board members, and external stakeholders. Key Qualifications: PhD or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Machine Learning, Data Science, or a related field. 8+ years of experience in AI/ML, with a focus on healthcare data, clinical informatics, or EHR systems. Proven track record of building and deploying AI solutions at scale in production environments. Strong knowledge of NLP, predictive modeling, and deep learning frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch). Familiarity with healthcare regulations and standards, such as HL7, FHIR, HIPAA, and ICD coding. Exceptional leadership and team management skills, with a demonstrated ability to mentor and inspire diverse teams.
