What you will do
• Develop, support, and administer an array of financial and reporting systems.
• Assist in the creation of documentation to support the various financial systems.
o Develop in depth understanding of core financial systems and associated accounting treatments.
o Assist in the monitoring of core financial systems and offers solutions to business areas when issues occur.
o Participate in process improvement activities utilizing existing and/or new technology.
o Assist in implementing new financial systems to meet growing business needs.
o Contribute to the testing and verification of product upgrades or new technology.
What you bring
• Requires Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting with a minimum of 24 units of accounting and/or Management Information Systems from an accredited institution.

Position Description
Develop, support, and administer the e-business suite applications and reporting systems required so that effective planning, performance management, and decision support services can be offered to executives, business area management, and various levels of business analysts throughout UNS Energy companies.
Provide the tools necessary to access information from a variety of internal systems to better assist personnel in the preparation and analysis of consolidated financial reports. Responsibilities include the configuration, implementation, and management of the e-business financial applications and reporting systems. Educates and trains users in the technology tools to access information from a variety of internal systems. Uses emerging and existing technology and services with the goal of streamlining and improving the business decision-making process.
Position-Related Responsibilities
• Integrates the financial and reporting systems with other corporate financial and operational information systems including, but not limited to, the Customer Information System, Work Management Systems, PowerPlan, and the Human Resource Management systems. Must be sufficiently knowledgeable to function efficiently in various operating systems and environments in order to access information from all systems which ultimately feed the financial and reporting systems.
• Initiates and maintains relationships with clients to ensure processes and solutions are integrated to support business requirements.
• Gathers requirements from clients for reports and enhancements and translates those requirements into functional designs used by technical resources to develop solutions.
• Facilitates the interaction between clients and technology providers (internal and external) to implement and maintain reliable solutions.
• Recommends improvement of existing or proposed systems to enhance the functionality or effectiveness of solutions delivered.
• Provides internal consulting to clients on how to make best use of functionality readily available in the current applications.
• Reviews and approves report design documents.
• Ensures proper documentation is in place to support on-going internal reporting and querying systems.
• Maintains application configuration table values to support business rules and application functions. Keeps associated documentation up to date.
• Controls and monitors system security configuration settings, granting user access to (or removing user access from) applications according to appropriate authorization.
• Develops unit test plans. Tests application patches and changes to configuration tables, programs, and processes.
• Performs regression testing and verification for product upgrades.
• Coordinates client’s testing and acceptance of application changes.
• Develops and/or assists in developing business process aligned application training material. Delivers training to clients one-on-one or in a classroom environment as required.
• Monitors system, data, application, process, and user errors and performance issues, and takes corrective action as appropriate.
• Provides business support to clients needing assistance with applications and/or diagnosing data issues.
• Documents problem analysis findings and corrective measures for ongoing support and audit purposes.
• Directs work of external resources as assigned.
• Develops and runs ad hoc query reports as needed to troubleshoot problems, fulfill audit requests, and support other client requests.
• Manages components of large projects under the leadership of a Project Manager, Business Lead, or Director. Leads small projects, preparing all required documentation for delivery of project objectives, as assigned.
• Works closely with technical resources as needed to troubleshoot problems and determine solutions.
• Continuously looking for implementing improvement strategies to enhance performance through better utilization of operational information.
• Is consistently aware of corporate goals and can identify technology to help meet those goals.
• Continually increases personal understanding of utility business functions and processes.
• Provides effective project management
• Performs other job-related duties as assigned by management.
• This position may provide services to affiliates of the Company subject to the UNS Energy Code of Conduct and the related Policies and Procedures.
Position-Related Responsibilities Specific to Level I:

• Contributes to the testing and verification of product upgrades or new technology.
Position-Related Responsibilities Specific to Level II:
• Assist in developing standards that ensure data integrity.
• Represents the business as a Subject Matter Expert for the integration of business processes and technology solutions.
• Leads requirements gathering efforts for package evaluation and complex report development.
• Work with other team members to identify appropriate vendors for technology products and services, revise assigned technological strategy, develop disaster recovery and business work continuity plans and coordinate with the appropriate steering committees to set and achieve the desired results of assigned projects.
• Partner with business area leadership to assess the technological cost and impact of business decisions, help clarify priorities and coordinate cross-organizational groups where common needs have been identified.
• Coordinate communication between business areas to facilitate development of existing and future information systems to maximize their utilization.
Pay Rate: Salary determined based on candidate's experience & qualifications.
