Clinical Therapist

LSW/LPC - $55,000 to $68,000 annually.
LISW/LPCC - $65,000 to $75,000 annually.
PTO available at date of hire.
Benefits start first of month after hire.


This clinical position provides assertive community treatment services to clients assigned to the Assertive Community Treatment (ACT) program who have a severely persistent mental illness. In accordance with State, Agency and Program policies, guidelines and professional requirements assigned clients with mental illness and adjustment difficulties will be treated under the supervision of an independently licensed clinician. These services may also be provided through individual, group and family therapy or through the diagnostic assessment process. This position also requires linkage and advocacy skills as necessary.

Education/Experience/Other Requirements:
  • Requires a bachelor's degree in social work (with a master's in social work being preferred) or a master's degree in counseling.
  • At least one year working with SPMI clients required.
  • Requires LSW or LPC.
  • Must be able to assume call on a rotating basis and work a flexible schedule that will include evenings, weekends and holidays as team maintains 24-hour responsibility for client care.
  • Must demonstrate knowledge of mental illness, individual, group counseling skills, assessment skills, and crisis intervention skills.
  • Must demonstrate knowledge in chronic physical health issues and needs of persons who are SPMI or SED.
  • Must demonstrate the ability to define problems, analyze data, establish facts, draw valid conclusions, and make recommendations.
Primary Duties:
  • Provides diagnostic service via face-to-face contact with clients under the supervision of a licensed independent clinician.
  • Provides assertive community treatment services to clients assigned to the ACT Team in accordance with state mandates, established agency and program policies, procedures, and philosophy.
  • Documents all services provided and maintains records utilizing the electronic record in accordance with agency policy/procedure.
  • Maintains client confidentiality and ensures release of information is handled in accordance with federal guidelines and agency policy/procedures.
  • Participates in ACT Team Meetings, supervision, in-service training, and conferences according to established policies and procedures, Ohio MHAS requirements and rules to keep abreast of agency procedures, upgrade personal knowledge, improve teamwork and service coordination.
