Loan Administrative Assistants are responsible for producing correspondence, scheduling and assisting Officers in management of client relationships and maintaining client account files/relationships in conformity with bank policy and regulatory requirements. They also perform loan processing, closing, set-up, and follow-up (servicing) responsibilities associated with the documentation and posting necessary in granting credit to the Banks borrowers. .

Qualifications for Success
Associates Degree in business related field plus additional bank-related training and secretarial training; or three to four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Loan Administrative Assistants are responsible for producing correspondence, scheduling and assisting Officers in management of client relationships and maintaining client account files/relationships in conformity with bank policy and regulatory requirements. They also perform loan processing, closing, set-up, and follow-up (servicing) responsibilities associated with the documentation and posting necessary in granting credit to the Banks borrowers. .
As a Loan Administrative Assistant, you will:
- Maintain educational and professional expertise by completion of relevant on-line or in-house training, and/or through attendance at job related seminars, conferences, and workshops.
- Maintain confidentiality of customer account information. Follow established policies and procedures in responding to inquiries and requests.
- Perform full range of duties pertaining to the loan processing/closing/servicing function, including, but not limited to the following: pull system inquiries to obtain credit history information on potential borrowers, answer customer inquiries, prepare processing and closing documents for new and refinanced loan closings.
- Review files to ensure that proper documents and disbursements are prepared accurately for loan officer or assistant performing the closing.
- Obtain pay-off information as necessary. Demonstrate ability to review files after closing to ensure that all documents are signed and checks are disbursed.
- Review loan document requirements prior to and after loan closing in conformity with compliance requirements
- Complete loan disbursements for clients timely and accurately.
- Prepare various legal documents to ensure proper lien on collateral of loan client.
- Type correspondence including memos, letters, mailings and file comments.
- Read and route incoming mail. Locate and attach appropriate file to correspondence to be answered by employer.
- Organize and maintain file system, filing correspondence and other records.
- Courteously answer and screen telephone calls.
- Courteously greet scheduled visitors and direct to appropriate area or person.
- Fed Ex loan papers to customers.
- Notarize signatures for loan closings and customers.
- Conduct research on file history in preparation for client meetings or in response to auditory inquiries.
- Process all types of loan payments.
- Forward lien requests to Recorder and follow-up to insure proper recording of liens. Prepare releases and satisfactions for loans.
- Request yearly financial updates, annual reports, and current tax filings from borrowers.
- May handle loan exceptions and communicate with appropriate loan officers in that regard.
- Make copies of correspondence or other printed materials
- Prepare outgoing mail and correspondence, including e-mail and faxes for loan officers.
