Sr Staff Accountant

Job Summary:
This is a wide-ranging role that requires a positive and proactive attitude with the credibility to interact with senior staff and influence decisions. As the Senior Accountant you will be a key member of the Financial Services US Software Vertical and be responsible for group reporting as well as offering accounting support to the wider finance team.

Job Description:

Responsibilities:

• Oversight of daily accounting functions including AR, AP, Fixed Assets, etc
• Assist in overall reporting of business unit's monthly results within the corporate timelines.
• Preparation of various monthly reporting packages, may include contribution to Performance Scorecards, Corporate Analytical Reviews and various analytical reports.
• Significant involvement in the creation of the Quarterly Budget and Quarterly Results.
• Regular review and forecasting of cash flows
• Participate in any internal I external auditor or corporate head office requests
• Work in conjunction with the Financial Controller to maintain and improve appropriate internal controls
• Prepare and review ad-hoc financial analysis for the various departments

Education and Experience:

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance
• Knowledge of accounting principles, practices and applications under US GAAP and/or IFRS.
• Experience in building forecasts.
• Minimum 3 years' experience in finance and accounting. Experience in a technology-based environment is a plus.
• Advanced level skills in Excel are required, experience with Great Plains ERP experience considered a plus.
• CPA/CMA Preferred
