POSITION SUMMARY
This position performs a variety of professional level accounting duties such as preparing, maintaining, analyzing, verifying, and reconciling complex financial transactions, statements, records, and reports. This position is also responsible for maintaining the accuracy of ledgers and financial systems as well as assisting in the preparation of assigned budgets, annual audit, and year end closing.

- Prepares financial reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing account information and trends
- Review work of staff accountants for accuracy
- Documents financial transactions by entering account information
- Substantiates financial transactions by auditing documents
- Guides accounting clerical staff by coordinating activities and answering questions
- Prepares payments by verifying documentation, and requesting disbursements
- Reconciles monthly bank statements and has responsibility for cash management
- Maintains investor confidence and protects operations by maintaining confidentiality
- Assists with year end reporting including, but not limited to annual filings, audits, and tax returns
- Maintains financial security by following internal controls and promoting ethical environment
- Performs other duties as assigned
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance (or degree in business with relatable experience)
- CPA certification preferred, but not required
- 3-5 years of accounting experience
