Senior Financial Analyst

SUMMARY

Mortenson is seeking an experienced Senior Financial Analyst to provide opportunity valuation and analysis, corporate internal financial reporting and analysis, and project management. In this role, you'll be working closely with senior leaders, operating groups, business service groups, and overall finance team. Demonstrating your excellent communication skills, as well as your ability to collaborate with a team is vital for success.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Act as the primary financial partner for assigned Business Service Groups and provide insights into their financials through;
    • Monthly financial reviews, , quarterly forecasting cycles and annual budgeting processes.
    • Provide detailed financial summaries, reports and recommendations to assist leaders in managerial decision making.
    • Communicate results and estimates to business leaders, prepare and deliver financial updates, create financial models and analyze variances for key operating metrics.

  • Support Corporate financials through;
    • Support orchestrating annual financial planning process and quarterly forecasting process.
    • Consolidating group submissions to create overarching financial views for senior leadership.
    • Providing group-level and company-level financial analysis and insights.
    • Support to develop various financial analysis and reports for the senior leadership.

  • Support to develop standard financial reports for forecasting, trending and results analysis.
  • Provide ad hoc financial reporting and analysis.
  • Identify areas for process improvement and support execution of efforts
  • Effectively work and build relationships with those of diverse backgrounds and organizational levels

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business administration, or equivalent field.
  • MBA in Accounting or Finance preferred
  • Minimum of five years related experience within Corporate FP&A
  • Oracle Financials/Projects application experience strongly preferred
  • Advanced Excel skills, including financial analysis and modeling experience
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with curiosity and initiative to seek innovative solutions
  • Results-oriented to ensure completion of highly visible deliverables in an accurate, complete and timely fashion
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to communicate financial information to all levels of the organization
  • Active listening skills and effective communication including an openness to diverse input and feedback

The base pay range for this role is $83,700 - $125,600. (Actual range is higher for the following office locations: Denver, CO and Chicago, IL - 5%, Seattle, WA, and Portland, OR - 10%, Washington, D.C. - 12.5%).

Base pay is positioned within the range based on several factors including an individual's knowledge, skills, and experience, with consideration given to internal equity.
