The Clinical Therapist is responsible for providing diagnostic assessments, counseling, and supportive services for a diverse population in a fast-paced Mental Health Rehabilitative Core Service Agency.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Conduct clinical assessments and create person-centered treatment plans
  • Provide evidence-based psychotherapy for clients who present with various concerns such as substance abuse, depression, anxiety, trauma and adjustment disorders
  • Continually assess client situations and provide the proper ongoing treatments • Prepare discharge summaries
  • All other clinical tasks as assigned
Qualifications:
  • Must show the ability to read, write and follow oral and written instructions.
  • Ability to communicate with clients and to remain calm under stress.
  • Must be able to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Positive interpersonal skills required.
  • Bi-Lingual in Spanish and English is a plus but is not required.
Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree (required) in Social Work, Counseling, or related field
  • Master's degree(preferred) in Social Work, Counseling, or related field
  • Licensed in the state of DC (LICSW, LGSW, LPC, LGPC, RN) (required)
  • Must be familiar or willing to be trained on EMR systems
  • Two years minimum of direct-care clinical services with individuals with mental health diagnoses

  • DC License (LICSW, LGSW, LPC, LGPC, RN)

  • FBI Background Check
  • TB Test
