The Opportunity: As a data and automation specialist, you will play an integral role in assisting Abbott’s global audit teams by designing and developing analytical tests and automated procedures that assist in the identification of financial, compliance and technology risk. What You Will Work On: Designing & developing data models to support data visualizations

Designing & developing interactive dashboards for data exploration and audit sample selection

Building advanced technical analytics skill in predictive modeling and machine learning

Leading design thinking sessions to generate a pipeline of department improvement opportunities spanning Process & Operational

Data & Analytics

Automations (RPA)

Networking with divisional, regional and corporate organizations to identify new data sources, emerging risk areas and opportunities for future ‘data partners’

Creating data savvy auditors by training them on audit analytics tools and data mining techniques

Building your knowledge of various operational and financial aspects of the Abbott lines of business

Required Qualifications BA/BS degree in Business, Computer Science, Management Information Systems or related field, or equivalent professional experience

4-6 years of hands-on analytics experience

Expertise and/or demonstrated experience with business intelligence tools (i.e. Qlik, ACL, and Tableau, Business Objects, etc.); designing, reporting and delivering analytical solutions; data management and warehousing, and the strategic use of information.

Experience must include strong skills in research, analysis and data management. Experience with writing and interpreting SQL queries and statements to explore source data and data issues.

Preferred Qualifications Data Artist, expertise and/or demonstrated experience with data visualization tools (i.e. Tableau, PowerBI,)

Analytical, experience using advance analytics tools (R, Python, etc.) to solve complex business problems

Inquisitive, experience with writing and interpreting SQL queries and statements to explore source data and data issues

Builder, experience developing scripts for process automation (e.g. VBA Macros, Python, Automation Anywhere)

Multi-tasker, can independently manage multiple projects in a dynamic and complex environment

Experience, with SAP data and processes

Communicator, ability to communicate complex information to a broad audience with professional oral and written communication skills

Organized, project management experience and ability to interact with managers at various levels from various business functions

The base pay for this position is $85,300.00 – $170,700.00. In specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.
