Overview

 Work as part of a team in the periodic preparation of GAAP and Statutory financial statements.

Responsibilities
  • Assist in the preparation of the monthly/quarterly/annual GAAP and STAT financial statements and supporting schedules.
  • Preparation and input of monthly journal entries to the Oracle EBS General Ledger.
  • Reconciling External system monthly files/interface files to GL.
  • Perform monthly bank reconciliations and other assigned general ledger account analysis.
  • Prepare periodic GAAP management reports as assigned.
  • Assist with internal and external audit requests.
  • Reconcile GAAP to STAT differences.
  • Other accounting duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting required.
  • 2+ years’ accounting experience required.
  • Requires excellent communication and interpersonal skill.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Must understand GAAP accounting principles.
  • Insurance industry and statutory accounting practices and procedures knowledge is preferred.
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables and V Look ups).
  • Working knowledge of Oracle EBS and WINGS a plus.
