Financial Systems Analyst

The Financial Systems Analyst executes the accounting and financial reporting function of the credit union, in an accurate and timely manner, to include Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and regulatory compliance, month-end close, internal, and external financial reporting and supporting internal/external audits and regulatory exams.

What you will do here:

Accounting & Financial Reporting and Analysis: Preparation of General Ledger postings such as fixed assets, prepaids, and accruals. Responsible for select reconciliations for the credit union and subsidiaries. Assist during the month-end close process including preparing/reviewing journal entries and completing assigned balance sheet reconciliations within set timeframe. Conduct financial analysis with preparation of monthly financial reports and sales/service volume reports for management. Complete internal financial reporting and processes. Complete FR2900 regulatory report and Call Report.

System Administration and Reporting Tools: Conduct System administrator for BI360 reporting. Create, maintain, and troubleshoot BI360 reporting. Create dashboards using Power BI.

Intercompany Transactions and Audit Support: Perform Intercompany transactions between companies. Assist with data compilation and coordination of internal and external audit reviews and regulatory exams.

Process Improvement and Special Projects: Identify and implement process improvements and execute the month-end close and account reconciliations.

Team Support and Training: Offer support, training, and advice to team members and stakeholders across the organization.

Perform special projects and other job-related duties as assigned.

What you will need:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience required.

6+ years of experience in Accounting or Finance required.

1+ years of experience with Solver's BI360 data warehouse preferred.

Extensive financial analysis skills - including variance analysis, forecasting, budgeting, and financial modeling; Knowledge of Business Central or Other Professional Accounting Systems required.

Thorough understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and internal controls; competent understanding of core banking functions required.

Intermediate skills in Microsoft Excel: reference formulas, such as Indirect, Index, Sum Product, and other conditional statements. Ability to successfully utilize accounting software system(s), Microsoft Word and Outlook to complete assigned work/project required.
