Grants Accountant

We are seeking a Grants Accountant who will report to the Controller. This person will be responsible for all fiscal compliance requirements on all grants received by the College.

This is a full-time, administrative position.

Example of Duties:

  • Work with the individuals in the Office of Institutional Advancement regarding financial report preparation and financial data for grant applications. Work with the Budget Director regarding budget development and tracking.
  • Prepare interim and final reports required by the granting agency and/or the College.
  • Prepare all billing or other required submissions for the "drawdown" of grant revenue from the granting agency.
  • Review, control, and monitor the budget and meet with Grant Project Directors on financial status of grant programs.
  • Assume responsibility for all grant accounting transactions which are to be recorded on the College's general ledger.
  • Meet with external auditors on grant closeout information and/or fiscal audits of grants.
  • Maintain close surveillance and pursue timely collection of all grant receivables.
  • Perform other functions as assigned.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration.
  • Minimum of three (3) years of accounting work experience.
  • Ability to read, interpret, and implement governmental regulations and guidelines.
  • Experience with ERP systems preferred.
  • Previous experience working with grants preferred.
