We are looking for a Staff Accountant to join our team as we continue to grow. The responsibilities include completing journal entries, maintaining financial records, performing account reconciliations, and assisting with accounts payable as well as close processes. This person will play an enormously important supportive role, keeping our firm's financial outlook bright with precision and proactive measures. The location will be a combination of working a hybrid schedule from our Chicago office.

We are looking for a Staff Accountant to join our team as we continue to grow. The responsibilities include completing journal entries, maintaining financial records, performing account reconciliations, and assisting with accounts payable as well as close processes. Primary Responsibilities:
- Perform general ledger account reconciliations to verify accuracy of data, and research and resolve any discrepancies, specifically cash reconciliations
- Support timely monthly and year-end financial close, including assigned journal entries, balance sheet account reconciliations and accruals
- Support the accounts payable function by:
- Processing and coding invoices ensuring accurate and timely payment
- Work closely with internal departments and external vendors to resolve any payment issues or discrepancies
- Answer accounting and financial questions by researching and interpreting data
- Prepare special financial reports as requested by management by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing account information and trends
- Other duties and special projects as needed
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, business accounting, or finance
- 1 to 3 years of accounting experience
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and organize efficiently
- Critical attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office suite, Excel required
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license or in pursue of
- Knowledge of GAAP (generally accepted accounting principles in the U.S.)
- Prior experience working in financial services or professional services
- Experience with Sage Intacct
- Experience with SAP Concur Accounts Payable
