TITLE: Career Technical Education (CTE) Special Education Career Coach
JOB GOAL: To assist special education students in locating, securing, and maintaining employment
FLSA STATUS: Non-Exempt
REPORTS TO: Principal and Career Technical Education (CTE) Director
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
SALARY: Based on the St. Clair County School System Salary Schedule
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: 10 month
EVALUATION: Performance will be evaluated according to board policy.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school diploma or its equivalent
- College degree preferred
- Ability to meet suitability criteria for employment and/or certification/licensure under the Alabama Child Protection Act of 1999 and Act No. 2002-457
- Knowledge of learning styles and skill in using varied teaching/coaching methods to maximize student learning and job success
- Proficiency in oral and written communication skills
- Possess and maintain a valid driver's license
- Ability to provide personal transportation to travel to schools and work sites as needed
- Effective interpersonal skills, with an emphasis on communication and collaboration with a wide variety of people and groups
- Ability to solve problems as a productive team member
- Ability to use technology to communicate, to plan and provide instruction, to facilitate student learning, to manage data, and to produce/submit required reports, correspondence, and/or financial information
- Physical strength, mobility, dexterity, stamina, and acuity to perform job responsibilities
- Ability to plan and implement effective job coaching activities
- Ability to be punctual and in regular
