Under the direction of the Finance Director, the Senior Financial Analyst:

Compiles and analyzes financial information for the organization. Develops integrated revenue/expense analyses, projections, reports, and presentations. Creates and analyzes monthly, quarterly, and annual reports and ensures financial information has been recorded accurately. Identifies trends and developments in competitive environments and presents findings to senior management. Performs financial forecasting and reconciliation of internal accounts. Familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures. Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks. A wide degree of creativity and ability to work autonomously is expected.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:

• Demonstrated financial acumen and analytical experience including knowledge of forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis, and/or data interpretation and analysis.

• Effective communication and presentation skills working with internal and external partners and executive management.

• Possesses a working knowledge of regulatory bodies relating to payroll, taxes, and general business financial conditions.

• A strong attention to detail with the ability to provide documentation accurately and concisely.

• Ability to meet tight deadlines, prioritize workload and achieve effective results; effective multi-tasking skills are vital.

• Comfortable working with very sensitive data and can maintain a high degree of discretion.

• Financial modeling and advanced proficiency in Excel (lookups, pivot tables, and other advanced formulas).

• Oracle experience and cash flow forecasting experience is preferred.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

• Produces timely financial analytics related to monthly close, financial performance, and budgeting/planning for assigned company divisions.

• Prepares schedules, tables, and charts to summarize financial analysis and findings; identifying key drivers of variances to budget/forecast, provide analysis and commentary of deviation from the plan; be able to run scenarios and gauge the budgetary impact from them.

• Prepare decision-support analysis on a range of issues related to financial performance, business planning, strategic opportunities, and business case analysis.

• Analyzes baseline financial statement information, including: income statement, balance sheet, cash flow, and critical operational data to determine business viability and potential areas for business improvement.

• Maintains cash flow forecasts and monitors cash position to determine company's ongoing capital and borrowing needs.

• Develop the annual budgets for assigned business partners and OIA corporate functions as well as ongoing forecasts to ensure achievement of targets and goals.

• Performs cost/benefit and valuation analysis.

• Communicates independently with administrators and senior management regarding budgets/forecasts.

• Regular and reliable attendance which includes team meetings, trainings, and in-services as scheduled.

• Maintain financial performance by monitoring operating and financial metrics, analyzing results and trends, providing budget variance feedback, and driving financial accountability throughout operating units.

• Assist effective capital planning efforts by developing business cases for capital expenditures and other investments as well as disciplined working capital management.

• Partner with accounting/finance staff to ensure accruals/entries are timely and accurate for monthly close.

• Ensure adherence to accounting policies, procedures, and overall company control environment (i.e., support annual audit efforts of company).

• Performs projects delegated by senior management.

• Provide other financial, statistical, and operational analytics as needed or upon request.

Requirements

REQUIRED EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

• Minimum of three (3) years' experience in Finance or a related field.

• Bachelor's degree in finance or accounting is required. Master's degree a plus.
