Within this role you will: Provide training of designated clinical staff and non-clinical staff in the agency Electronic Health Record (E.H.R.); Includes development of a detailed E.H.R. training plan that incorporates changes in agency policy and procedures into trainings, and completion of training reports. Provide training of designated clinical and non-clinical staff in clinical concepts and other trainings as assigned. Provide training of community members in identified elective trainings based on content knowledge and interest as assigned. Incorporate principles of adult learning in the design and delivery of effective training Be responsible for maintaining, revising, and working collaboratively to create and update all training materials and content relative to assigned trainings (checklists, flowcharts, screen shots, training videos) Facilitate both on-site and virtual training sessions that includes set up and utilization of training equipment (A/V, room arrangement, etc.) and may involve online training tools like Zoom and Microsoft Teams. Be responsible for implementing recommendations for improvement of training processes for assigned trainings Coordination and management of conference events Participate in committees relative to training content and/or areas of interest Maintain the learning management system including course registrations, training resources, and data collection Perform other related duties and activities as assigned Why choose Horizon to build your career? Here are a few specifics of what you’ll need for the job: Master’s degree in health and human services or related degree required. Minimum of three (3) years of behavioral health experience preferred. QHP preferred (LMSW, LMHC, CASAC, or CRC). Prior experience in training or instructional design preferred. This can include previous formal and informal training experience. Knowledge of Cerner Millennium E.H.R. system is highly desirable; prior experience with this or similar systems (e.g. Epic, NextGen) is a plus. Additional skills: Highly adaptable to changes in the healthcare environment, including evolving regulatory and technology shifts. Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to handle multiple projects and deadlines. Excellent communication skills—both verbal and written—tailored to different audiences (staff, clinical experts, community members). Experience applying adult learning theory and creating engaging training materials for diverse audiences. Proficiency with virtual learning platforms as well as Microsoft Teams and Zoom. Strong understanding of clinical documentation, regulatory compliance, and behavioral health best practice that supports the ability to analyze clinical documentation and provide clear feedback and guidance to staff on improvements or changes. Collaborative and person-centered approach to working with colleagues, trainees, and community members. Ability to work independently and as part of a hybrid team, effectively managing a mix of remote and in-person work. Open-minded and forward-thinking, especially as AI and other technologies are integrated into clinical and non-clinical practices in the future. Location This position is located at our corporate office at 55 Dodge Rd, Getzville, NY and also works partially remote. Hours This position is full-time, 40 hours per week. Typical hours are 8:00am-4:30pm, however, hours may vary based on training need and could include evening hours. Compensation: Horizon is consistently evaluating our compensation and benefit packages to ensure we remain competitive. The range of pay for this position is $50,000-55,000. Starting pay may be impacted based on experience and education. Compensation adjustments are evaluated annually. Physical demands associated with this position include: Sitting for extended periods, alternating between standing and sitting Mobility required with repetitive wrist, hand, and finger movements.
