Work Schedule 100% FTE Day Shift 100% Remote POSITION HIGHLIGHTS Support operational groups involved in Epic charging and billing (Clinics / Departments, Patient Access, Hospital / Professional Billing) Works with a diverse group of people from All UW Medicine entities to identify revenue cycle improvement opportunities DEPARTMENT DESCRIPTION UW Medicine's Revenue Integrity Department is a shared services organization, which supports all of UW Medicine entities including but are not limited to UW Medical Center Montlake (UWMC ML), UW Medical Center Northwest (UWMC NW), Harborview Medical Center (HMC) PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES Responsible for services lines including Therapy and Rehabilitation Assume Accountability and Monitor Key Metrics - Annual Charge Utilization, Monthly Revenue, Denials, Late/Missing Charges, administrative write-offs, and utilization by book of business Review, Remediation, and Educate on Charge Capture / Reimbursement Opportunities Perform analysis and troubleshooting for charge capture / missing charge resolution and denial mitigation Epic Issue Resolution/Reporting Collaborate with HIM, Coding, Epic Core Team, and Revenue Cycle teams to support performance improvement opportunities. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor’s degree with 4 years of Epic experience and experience providing training to clinical operations At least 8-10 years’ experience in the healthcare industry Experience with ICD 10/HCPCS/CPT codes Coding credentials CCS, COC, RHIT, RHIA or ability to obtain coding credentials within the 12 months of hire Understanding of hospital billing or reimbursement and charge capture operations Knowledge and experience with Medicare/Medicaid OR Equivalent education and/or experience ABOUT UW MEDICINE – A HIGHER DEGREE OF HEALTHCARE UW Medicine is Washington’s only health system that includes a top-rated medical school and an internationally recognized research center.
